Oli should be punished by reducing UML ballot to zero vote: Jhala Nath Khanal

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-Unified Socialist senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has said that the CPN-UML should be reduced to zero in the upcoming election.

Addressing a meeting of the Gulmi-Kathmandu Forum of the Unified Socialist in Kathmandu on Saturday, senior leader Khanal encouraged the party cadres to work strategically to counter UML Chairman KP Oli’s arrogance in the upcoming election.

“KP Oli, being a right-winger, repeatedly dissolved the House of Representatives. We have to expose his undemocratic, autocratic and whimsical activities and convince them of the threat he poses to democracy,” he said, adding, ” Oli turned to opportunism. We have to make zero votes in the box.”

He said that democracy and constitution would be protected if Oli could be reduced to zero votes.

Leader Khanal labeled Oli’s UML as the opportunist faction groping agenda for the election as they have been without it after deviating from the communist ideals.
