Girl who went out to celebrate Holi found dead in Modi River



KATHMANDU: A dead body of a girl has been found on the bank of the Modi River in Kushma municipality-7, Parbat.

“The dead body of around-20-year-old girl was found on the bank of the Modi River at Khareha on Friday,” informed Police Inspector of District Police Office, Parbat, Rajendra Adhikari.

The identity of the girl is yet to ascertained.

The dead body of the girl on a t-shirt reading ‘Happy Holi’ and black trouser has been taken to District Hospital for postmortem.

Police have speculated that she may have gone out of her house to celebrate Holi.

Locals have suspected that she may have been murdered after rape.
