Tanahun to have 136 polling stations



TANAHUN: A total of 136 polling stations have been fixed in Tanahun for the local level election to be held on May 13.

The polling stations have been identified in ten municipalities of the district. According to the Election Office, Tanahu, election focal persons have been appointed in all the ten municipalities of the district to facilitate the election.

Similarly, Election Officer will be appointed in all the ten municipalities including the Chief Returning Officer, said Hari Prasad Dhakal, Election Officer of District Election Office, Tanahun.

He said that the Election Office has sent the details of 248,493 voters including 128,542 women and 119,951 men to the Election Commission till February 7. The final list will be published by March 27.

Meanwhile, voter education programs have been intensified to help conduct the upcoming elections in a free, fearless environment, Dhakal said.
