KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has fallen by double digits on Sunday, the first trading day of the week
The NEPSE dropped by 27.54 points to shrink at 1855.06 points.
The sensitive index fell by 5.22 points to 362.82 points today.
According to NEPSE sources, the indicators of 13 groups that came into trading on this day went negative. The Finance group index fell down the most by 2.88 percent.
Similarly, the index of the Development Bank group decreased by 2.06 percent, and the index of Hydropower by 2.04 percent.
While banking and microfinance decreased by 1 percent, the index of hotels and tourism, investment, life insurance, and non-life insurance decreased by 0.94 percent.
3,778,951 shares of 250 companies worth 1.15 billion were traded on Sunday.
The share price of Eastern Hydropower increased by around 10 percent, while the Global IME Balance Index increased by 9.55 percent.
On the basis of the transaction amount, Agriculture Development Bank remained at the top position with the transaction of the shares worth 62.5 million.
