NAC aircraft for Bhojpur returns to Kathmandu due to technical problems

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines’ Twin Otter flight from Kathmandu to Bhojpur has been turned back midway due to technical problems on Friday.

According to Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) sources, there were 15 passengers on board.

The plane is grounded. It is the only ship on domestic flights with the corporation. After this aircrafts is grounded, the internal flight of the corporation has come to a standstill.

According to the sources, this ship was scheduled to fly to Bhojpur, Phaplu and Dang on Friday.

NAC has also canceled the scheduled flight on Saturday after the ship is grounded. This will affect hundreds of passengers.

There is no flight on Sunday due to the election. Sources say that if the ship is built, regular flights can be operated only on Monday. As the corporation does not have a plane for domestic flights, even passengers who have booked tickets are affected by the incident.
