Nepal Police has great role to ensure peace and security: CM Raut

JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Lalbabu Raut, has said Nepal Police has significant role to maintain peace and security in the country.

Addressing a program organized by the Madhes Province Police Office on the occasion of 67th Police Day at Janakpurdham on Monday, CM Raut viewed Nepal Police can play important role to conduct the elections of House of Representatives, and Provincial Assembly in free, fair and peaceful atmosphere.

He reminded that the provincial government had urged the federal government to forward the process of recruitment in province police after the election. In order to make people realize the province government, the police organization must be brought under province government, CM Raut argued.

On the occasion, Minister for Home Affairs and Communications, Bharat Prasad Sah, blamed the federal government’s obstruction for provincial government’s failure to recruit its own police persons.
