Govt withdraws facilities provided to suspended CJ Rana

KATHMANDU: The government has withdrawn government facility given to Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Cholendra Shumsher Rana, who has been suspended following the filing of an impeachment motion in parliament.

Vehicles given to the Chief Justice and personal security officers (PSOs) deployed for his security have been withdrawn.

Acting on the directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, recalled two PSO’s deployed for Rana. Likewise, police team deployed for escorting the chief justice has also been recalled to the police headquarters.

The government has also took back the ‘VVIP’ car used by the chief justice on official functions.
