Nepal sees 59 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 59 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 25 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 34 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,882 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,753 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,129 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,830 active cases in the country as 161 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,016 to date.
