NC holding discussions to finalize closed list of PR candidates



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding discussions to prepare the closed list of proportional representative (PR) candidates for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on November 20.

NC Joint General Secretary Badri Pandey said the party’s Central Parliamentary Committee was holding discussions to prepare a closed list of PR candidates since 9 am Sunday at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

He added the committee discussed candidates under separate clusters.

The committee was to hold official meeting with the Prime Minister and party President Sher Bahadur Deuba in the afternoon to finalize the ultimate list.

The Election Commission has given today and tomorrow for parties to submit the closed list of candidates for November 20 elections.

The major parties are preparing to submit the list by tomorrow.
