NC to forge an electoral alliance in parliamentary elections to garner clear majority



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to face the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections by forming an alliance.

The Central Committee, which concluded on Monday, decided to continue with the current ruling coalition until the upcoming elections.

“The party has decided to forge an electoral alliance to ensure a clear majority in the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assembly elections,” party Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said.

The meeting, he said, has decided to proceed with an electoral alliance through mutual dialogue with the parties in the ruling coalition.

Likewise, the party has also said that it will form a stable government for five years after the elections.

According to him, the party also expressed satisfaction with the results obtained during the local-level election.
