BHAIRAHAWA: Police arrested a passenger with gold jewelry from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa on Saturday.
Rajendra Kunwar of Palpa Ribdikat, who arrived at Gautam Buddha International Airport via Jajira Airways, was arrested along with gold jewelry.
According to Tirtha Raj Paswan, the Customs Officer at GBIA, Kunwar was arrested with 122 grams of gold jewelry hidden in socks.
Kunwar had come from Qatar to Kathmandu via Jajira Airways was hiding three chains and a bracelet jewelry. The estimated value of the jewelry is Rs 990,000, according to the airport customs.
The police are investigating further for details.
