Counting completed in more than half of 753 municipalities

NC wins 185, UML: 115, Maoist Center: 82



KATHMANDU: The counting of votes have been completed in more than a half of the 753 municipalities across the country.

As per the results till 6 am on Wednesday, the results of 405 local level polls have been made public.

Nepali Congress (NC) has won the highest number of 185 seats, followed by the UML with 115 seats and the Maoist Center with 82 seats.

Similarly, CPN (Unified Socialist) has won 6 seats, Janata Samajwadi Party 5 seats and others have won 12 seats.

The major parties are taking the lead in the remaining municipalities. NC is leading in 129 places, UML in 83 places and Maoist Center in 33 places.

The local level election was on May 13.
