PM Deuba should choose either MCC or ruling coalition: NC leader Dr Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shashank Kairala has reinforced the need to ratify Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) by the Parliament.

Dr Koirala said that Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has two options: Either he has to leave MCC in the name of saving the ruling coalition or should leave the coalition.

Koirala also claimed that there was no doubt that the current alliance would split if the MCC was passed.

“MCC is beneficial for Nepal. If protests against MCC continue, our image in the international arena will be tarnished,” he said.

Koirala also claimed that the United States has no hidden interest in Nepal.
