Ruling coalition holding meeting today

To discuss contemporary issues

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition is holding a meeting to discuss the contemporary issues Tuesday.

The meeting of the political coordination committee scheduled to be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this morning will hold discussions on the possibility of alliance in the National Assembly election and ending the stalemate in the parliament.

The main opposition in the Parliament, CPN-UML, has been continuously obstructing the House proceedings alleging Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota for being biased.

Despite the Election Commission’s recommendation to announce the date of local elections, the government has not announced the dates.

Party top leaders, including Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, and Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal will also participate in the meeting, Baluwatar sources said.

On Monday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” held a discussion on contemporary political issues.
