Uniformity in development model imperative for boosting investment: CM Bhatta

SUDURPASCHIM: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Trilochan Bhatta has said an investment-friendly atmosphere could be created by guaranteeing security and clearing legal hurdles.

CM Bhatta, however, viewed an investment-friendly atmosphere could not be prepared for the lack of a uniform model of development and investment in Nepal.

Tourism, agriculture, energy and industry are some areas of investment, he said, adding, “Although Sudurpaschim government is committed to creating favorable atmosphere for investment, no investment was made by any side here.”

Likewise, Minister for Economic Affairs at the province, Tara Lama Tamang, and Minister for Physical Infrastructures Development, Dirgha Bahadur Sodari hoped the NRNA would extend assistance for the development in Sudurpaschim Province. NRNA Chairperson Kumar Pant said the organization had aimed at utilizing the knowledge and skills generated abroad in the mother country.
