NC will not compromise on electing country’s President: Leader Khadka

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that his party will not negotiate or compromise with anyone when it comes to electing the President.

As the discussion about who will become the president started, he also gave his opinion.

Taking to social media, Khadka said, “The discussion about who will become the President has become serious. I have a clear opinion – the President should be a person who is fully committed to the country, the people and the constitution made by the Parliament. NC cannot and should not compromise with anyone on this matter.”

Khadka’s views come at a time when voices are being raised suggesting independent candidates for the post of the Preisdent.
