KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has claimed that the five-party coalition government has addressed the voice of every Nepali.

Speaking at a press conference at the party office in Sanepa on Monday, NC Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat claimed that the alliance has brought the country to the right track.

He said, “Everyone knows under what circumstances the coalition government was formed. The coalition government that was formed in last year has brought the country to order in a short period of time. Issues such as coronavirus control, balance in foreign policy and other public related matters have been prioritized.”

Referring to CPN UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, he said that the alliance was formed after the attack on the constitutio. He added the coalition was trying to address the voice of every citizen.

He said that the rights given by the constitution have been fully implemented.

He said that since the local level elections have been done in a fair manner, now the coalition government is aiming to successfully conclude the upcoming elections of the House of Representatives.

He said, “After allocating the seats, we are preparing for the election. Meanwhile, the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) is out. We allotted seats generously. However, JSP left the coalition. They will be evaluated by the people.”

He said that the alliance candidates should make voters aware.

He said, “We are of the opinion that we should win rather than contest in many seats. All parties of the coalition should be involved to ensure victory in elections. We have set a goal to protect the constitution by forming a Congress-led government.”

He admitted that even the leaders who contributed to the alliance could not be made candidates in the election.
