Development campaign should not be backtracked: UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said the democracy and campaign of development should not be backtracked.

At a walkathon organized by UML on the occasion of the Constitution Day, Chairman Oli vowed that his party would not disappoint the country, people, and initiative of good governance in the coming Nov 20 election of House of Representatives and Province Assembly.

Extraordinary progress has been achieved in social, political, economic and cultural sectors after the promulgation of the Constitution, he shared.

Constitution Day should be celebrated as the Day of the people, the UML Chair opined, reminding that the UML was for democracy, nationality, national integrity.

He blamed that efforts are made to spread communal violence in the country. The Constitution, gained from a long struggle, is being implemented.
