UML organizes walkathon to celebrate Constitution Day



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has organized a walkathon to mark the completion of the seven years of the federal republic Constitution day on Saturday.

UML leaders and cadres walked from various places in the capital to converge at Basantpur. Processions were taken out from Baneshwar, Maitidevi, Lainchour, Kalimati and Kupandol.

UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and other top leaders joined the walkathon.

Leaders and workers carried the Nepali flag during the foot march. Deputy Chief of UML Publicity Department Bishnu Rijal said that the walkathon was organized to protect the Constitution received from the Constituent Assembly.
