Police arrest five for selling kidneys of street children

KATHMANDU: The police have arrested 5 people on the charges of being involved in the sale of kidneys.

Police alleges that the arrested persons lured the street children of Kathmandu and sold them to India.

Those arrested are Dhan Bahadur Roka of Ramechhap, Vijay Kunwar of Gulmi, Dhupendra Shahi and Bimal Bahadur Shahi of Dailekh and Ashish Tamang of Jhapa.

According to the police, they are being investigated for action under the Human Trafficking and Trafficking Act 2064.
