KATHMANDU: The government has imposed a ban on the import of motorcycles with a capacity of more than 150 CC.

The government has banned the imports of motorcycles with a capacity of more than 150 CC on the recommendation of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

Earlier, the import of motorcycles up to 250 CC was allowed, but this time the import of all motorcycles and scooters above 150 CC has been banned.

The government has also continued the ban on the import of jeeps, cars and vans that run on petroleum products.

In addition to vehicles, all types of dogs, food items such as Kurmure, televisions above 32 inches, cigarettes and tobacco products, all types of prepared alcohol, diamonds, and mobile phones above $300, TVs, and all types of toys have been banned.
