KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has clarified that his party will not forge an alliance with any other parties in the local level election.
The second local level election after Nepal embraced federalism is slated for May 13 this year.
Speaking to media persons at Janakpurdham Airport on Sunday, Chairman Lingden clarified that RPP would go to the polls in the local level on its own and ruled out any kind of electoral coordination. He added the party would win most of the seats in the upcoming elections.
Similarly, he said that his party would bring back monarchy in Nepal and declare the country as a Hindu Nation as soon as the RPP gets a chance.
He added as per a new understanding, the RPP had taken up a policy of establishing monarchy as the Head of State or a guardian institution; however, the country would be governed by elected people’s representatives.
Chairman Lingden and party central member and actress Rekha Thapa reached Janakpur on Sunday to attend a party’s local level election-focused program at Birendra Bazaar in Dhanusha.
