Two killed in Rautahat road accident



GAUR: Two youths have died after being hit by a pickup van at Harsaha Chowk along the Chandranigahapur-Gaur road section in Rautahat.

The deceased have been identified as Jitendra Patel, 35, of Brindaban Municipality-6 and Hari Kumar Thakur, 28, of the same place, said DSP Shree Ram Bhandari of Area Police Office, Garuda.

According to DSP Bhandari, Thakur succumbed to his injuries at the local hospital and Patel while breathed his last being rushed to Bharatpur for treatment.

Meanwhile, police have arrested Sanjay Pandey of Maulapur and Kundan Pandey of the same place for investigation, said DSP Bhandari.

Relatives of the deceased have been staging protests at Harsaha Chowk since this morning demanding action against the culprits and due compensation.
