Two pedestrians killed in road accident



KATHMANDU: Two pedestrians were killed when a bus hit them at Balaju, Kathmandu, on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Bikas Tamang, 19, of Nuwakot and Durga Maya Thapa, 50, of Sukumbasi Basti at Balaju.

Critically injured Tamang and Thapa died in course of treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, said Chief of Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, Gautam Mishra.

The bus driver has been absconding and search for him is underway, added Mishra.
