Maoist Center Chair Prachanda meets PM Deuba

Discuss convening a Political Coordination Committee meeting



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ met to discuss various issues on Monday afternoon.

The talks, held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, between the two leaders focussed on the local level election and convening a high-level Political Coordination Committee.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Prime Minister Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda discussed various issues including local level election, among other issues.

The government has not announced the date for the local body elections despite the Election Commission’s recommendation to make an announcement at the earliest.
