CK Raut-led Janamat party announces protest programs



KATHMANDU: Dr. CK Raut-led Janamat Party Nepal has announced various protest programs Kathmandu.

Issuing a press statement in Kathmandu on Monday, party Chair Raut has made various protest programs to last up to February 3.

Janamat Party has been in agitation expressing solidarity with the Terai farmers since last few weeks.

To mark the first day of the protest programs, the party has called the district executive committees meeting to discuss about the nature of movement and local level preparations for it on Monday and Tuesday.

Formal protest movements start from Wednesday, the Balidani Diwas, literally the sacrifice day and would continue up to February 3.

 

Keeping in view the growing number of coronavirus cases in the country, Janamat party has urged all party committees to ensure that all participants of the programs use mask and maintain physical distance during the program.

The Janmat Party has been agitating in various districts of the Terai for the past few days saying that the government has not been able to address the various demands of the farmers.
