Transport service office begins token system



CHITWAN: The Transport Management Service Office Chitwan has started online token system with the rise in the coronavirus infection rate in the district.

The system has been placed so as to ease the service delivery and avoid crowd of the service seekers.

The online token has been initiated for the renewal of driving license and vehicle registration.

The office however had initiated online token system for license before this. Office Chief Binod Poudel said the online token has started for vehicle renew following the spike of coronavirus cases of late.

He informed that online token has been placed in a way to renew the registration of 30 vehicles and 13 driving license in an hour.

“We have started online token service delivery following the order of the local administration to avoid crowd up of service seekers with the spread of coronavirus”.

Token has been made mandatory so that the service would not be disrupted due to crowd-up of the people, he added.

The service recipients can easily obtain token online by accessing the website of the office.

As many as 60 service recipients are visiting the office daily to inquire about license renewal service.

Forty among them are receiving the renewal service. The office has provided license renewal services to over 600 people.

As informed the office has been providing both paper card and smart license renewal services.
