Lumbini Province Chief Amik Sherchan made the announcement at a program held at the office of Rapti Rural Municipality in Dang.

On the occasion, he urged the stakeholders to pay special attention on the health issues related to children.

The province chief attributed the particular success to the diligence and perseverance of the health workers. He also highlighted the need of reforms in education sector.

Sherchan further noted that five provinces were yet to be declared full vaccination assured zones due to lack of proper knowledge among grassroots level citizens on vaccines.

Also speaking at the program, Minister for Health, Population and Family Welfare of the Lumbini Province Indrrajeet Tharu claimed there was a fear of malnutrition among the children due to inadequate information on vaccines at community level.

On the occasion, various individuals including District Coordination Committees Chiefs and health workers were feted in recognition of their substantial contributions to make the province full vaccination assured zone.
