Government to end parliament session

KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to end the session of the House of Representatives.

The parties are scheduled to submit the closed list on September 18 and 19 under the Proportional Representation (PR).

The government has adopted the strategy of remaining silent on proroguing the session as the parliament has sent the Citizenship Act 2063 Amendment Bill submitted to President Bidya Devi Bhandari for authentication.

The cabinet meeting to be held on Friday (today) is taking a decision to end the ongoing 11th session of the parliament with effect from Saturday.
