NC should consider electoral alliance: Leader Koirala

CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC)’s central member Dr Shekhar Koirala asserted that NC should forge electoral alliance in upcoming provincial and federal election in a way that would minimize damages to the party itself.

At a press conference organized by the Nepal Press Union at Chitwan today, leader Koirala said that discussions were underway in the party regarding electoral alliance in the upcoming elections.

On a different note, Koirala clarified that NC was not a party of any group and it should adhere to the party rules, regulations and statute.

He expressed his intent that the party president would take forward the party brining onboard one and all within the party.

He clarified that he was against factional politics and articulated his intent that the party should run abiding by laws.

He refuted the rumors that he was seeking power sharing during a discussion with the like-minded friends.

He also viewed that NC should not imbibe communist tendencies, and called for further strengthening the party by refuting the negating things on the part of the incumbent NC-led government and the party president.
