Minister Shrestha pledges to amend culture-related policies



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jivan Ram Shrestha has pledged to amend policies related to culture for the preservation of the language and culture of the country.

There is a need to amend policies related to culture to keep up with federalism, he stressed at an event in Janakpurdham.

“Federalism has been implemented. Most of the things have been functioning as per spirits of federalism. But policies related to the culture have yet to keep up with federalism. So, we want to bring policies related to culture as per the system,” he said.

He also assured that such policies would be formulated soon while guaranteeing the government’s efforts to preserve the Maithili language and culture.
