KATHMANDU: The number of Nepali workers going abroad has increased by 3.68 times in the year 2078/79 BS.

The Department of Foreign Employment said that the number of workers going abroad has increased by 3.68 times in the current fiscal year and reached over 628,000.

According to the Department, many labor approvals have been given so far in the current year.

More than 7.12 million labor permits have been issued in Nepal since 2051 BS, the Department said.
