NEPSE rebounds with 12.57 points on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed at 1,978.94 on Thursday after gaining 12.57 points.

This is a gain of 0.64% after a loss of 29.89 points on Wednesday.

The index that opened at 1,966.89 made an intraday low of 1,950.76 and an intraday high of 1,993.95 before closing at 1,978.94 points at the end of trading day.

The total turnover of Rs 1.18 billion was recorded today as a total of 3,594,594 shares of 221 companies traded hands via 25,585 transactions. The turnover of Wednesday had stood at Rs 1.49 billion.

The shares of Nepal Telecom (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs 138.8 million while the shares of Nepal Credit And Commercial Bank Limited (NCCB) traded the most on the penultimate trading day.

As Adhikhola Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AKBSL) gained the highest 10% and hit positive circuit for the day, Lumbini General Insurance Co. Ltd. (LGIL) lost the highest 3.8%.

Eleven out of thirteen sector indices closed green today.
