Bharatpur’s mayoral candidate Subedi retains lead against Dahal



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML candidate Bijay Subedi has retained a slight lead in the mayoral election of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. He is 54 votes ahead of CPN-Maoist Center candidate Renu Dahal.

According to the latest results, Subedi has got 4,757 votes while Dahal has got 4,703 votes.

Earlier, Dahal was leading by a few votes. Similarly, Nepali Congress rebel candidate Jagannath Poudel has collected 2,131 votes.

Dahal is the common candidate of the alliance while UML’s Subedi is supported by Rastriya Prajatantra Party in Bharatpur metropolis.
