KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Pradip Gyawali has said that the ruling coalition parties are not in a position to remain united throughout the local elections.
He argued that the ruling parties themselves have panicked for fear of losing the election due to internal quakes within the coalition.
Speaking at a program organized by the CPN-UML Chitwan-Kathmandu Liaison Forum in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that the ruling parties were not in a position to hold the water in the local level elections.
Stating that the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) did not agree to forge the alliance in Nepalgunj, Parsa Nepali Congress had differences, in Rolpa a statement is to be published, citing among other places, UML Deputy General Secretary Gyawali said the ruling parties could not be considered as a strong force in such a situation.
“The ruling five-party alliance is trying to create a psychological pressure that we might lose, however, I urge all comrades not to be trapped into such illusion,” he said.
Gyawali said that his party would win the elections at all levels politically, morally and mathematically.
