Nepal sees nine new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of nine new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases today,  six were detected through the RT-PCR method and three through Antigen method.

A total of 4,043 swap samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1986 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2057 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no one died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,951 to date.

Currently, there are 400 active cases in the country as 44 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
