The country will be in trouble if the election is deterred: Chief Commissioner Thapaliya



JANAKPURDHAM: Chief Commissioner of the Election Commission Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has said that the country would be in trouble if the schedule of local level election is affected.

Speaking at the media orientation program meant to sensitize the upcoming local level election, Chief Commissioner Thapaliya said in Janakpurdham on Saturday, he requested all to strive their best to make the upcoming election a success.

“The election will not be postponed, there is no chance of deterring it for deterrence will be a tragedy for the country,” he said, adding, “This is an election year for the country and everyone should strive to make the elections success.”

The Chief Commissioner also said that the commission is preparing to hold elections for the province, the House of Representatives, the President and the Vice-President this year.
