2 killed, 4 injured in Palpa bus accident



PALPA: Two people including a minor have died in a bus accident in Palpa district.

The deceased have been identified as Bed Bahadur GC, 42, and seven-year-old Ashok Raskoti, the son of Home Bahadur Raskoti of Raina Devi Chhahara rural municipality-6, Dharapani.

The accident took place in the inner road in Raina Devi rural municipality-6, on Friday evening.

The other four people have sustained critical injuries. The bus, Ga 1 Kha 4909, was heading to Juthapani from Pani Danda when the bus fell some 400 meters down the rad.

According to DSP Birendra Thapa of District Police Office, Palpa, the three injured are receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College, Palpa while the other one has been referred to Bhairahawa.
