NOC increases price of petroleum products

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products.

The NOC has increased the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter.

A meeting of the NOC board of directors held on Wednesday has increased the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter with effect from 12 midnight.

Similarly, the price of aviation fuel (domestic) has been increased by Rs 15 per liter and international price of aviation fuel by 200 USD per kiloliter.

The NOC has kept the price of LP gas for cooking unchanged. Along with the latest price hike, the price of petrol in Kathmandu Valley has reached Rs. 155 per liter while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs. 138 per liter.

Even with the new price hike, the NOC has stated that it will incur a loss of around Rs 4.66 billion in the next 15 days.

The price of aviation fuel has also gone up. The domestic price has been increased by Rs 15 per liter and the international price by Rs 200 per liter.
