Tara Prasad Chaudhary, 42, of Bardaghat Municipality-11 Bhagjogani, Nawalparasi West died on Wednesday morning while undergoing surgery on his left leg.

The relatives of the deceased have surrounded the hospital and chanted slogans saying that the patient died due to the negligence of the doctor. Police have been deployed at the hospital for security.

The relatives of the deceased have cordoned off the hospital demanding investigation into the incident, action against the culprit and compensation. They have refused to take over the dead body.

Chaudhary, who was admitted to the hospital on Monday, was taken to the operating room after 5:30 pm on Tuesday.

He was admitted to the hospital for leg surgery after the rod nut that was inserted into his leg four years ago was broken.
