Unified Socialist to vote against MCC in Parliament

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to vote against Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in Parliament today.

The government is preparing to table the MCC for approval in the House of Representatives today.

Another ruling partner—the Maoist Center – has also decided not to support MCC.

“We will not allow the MCC to be tabled in the Parliament,” a Unified Socialist leader said, adding, “And if it is tabled, we will vote against it.”

Among the ruling parties, only the Nepali Congress is in favor of MCC.
