Parliament obstruction will continue, says UML leader Nembang

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of main opposition CPN-UML have said they will obstruct parliamentary proceedings even today.

A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been scheduled for 1 pm today. UML leaders have said that the obstructions will continue.

“The parliament obstruction will continue even today. No one has talked to our party regarding today’s meeting,” said UML deputy parliamentary party leader Subas Nembang.

UML has been obstructing the parliament for a long time.  The party has been demanding that 14 UML lawmakers, who defected to CPN (Unified Socialist), be barred from entering the parliament.

UML had also sought a resignation of Speaker Agni Sapkota.
