Nepal government sending humanitarian assistance to Afghani citizens today



KATHMANDU: The government is sending humanitarian and relief materials to the citizens of Afghanistan on behalf of the Nepali people today.

The government decided to send 12 tons of humanitarian aid, relief materials, including medicines and clothes to Afghanistan, which is facing a major humanitarian crisis of late.

According to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Narayan Khadka, the relief materials, including medicines will be dispatched to Kabul through a special flight of the Himalaya Airlines.

He added that a team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will fly to the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Sunday to deliver humanitarian aid to Afghans.

Minister Khadka further stated that this would be the first humanitarian aid provided by Nepal through its own aircraft.

According to him, Nepal will hand over the humanitarian aid to the UN representative in Kabul on Sunday.
