Nov 20 election a turning point in Nepali politics: Chair Prachanda

NAWALPARASI: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has observed that the November 20 election will be a turning point in Nepali politics.

The Maoist Center Chair said so while addressing an election rally at Chaupatta, Bardaghat Municipality in West Nawalparasi today.

Appealing to the people to vote for the ruling coalition, leader Prachanda termed the alliance of the ruling five parties as the Pach Pandav and the alliance led by the main opposition party in the erstwhile Parliament, CPN (UML) as the Kaurav.

He hinted that there were some challenges within the ruling alliance, but there was no alternative to the alliance.

Billionaire Binod Chaudhary is contesting from West Nawalparasi Constituency 1 as a common candidate of the ruling alliance in the election for the member of the House of Representatives slated for November 20.

Hridyesh Tripathi, chairman of Janata Pragatishil Party and former Minister, with support from CPN (UML) is also contesting from the same constituency as a competition for Chaudhary.

The election to the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly (PA) is slated for November 20.
