Message attached by President while returning Citizenship Bill to parliament (Full text)



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned the bill to amend the Citizenship Act 2006 to the House of Representatives on Sunday.

Along with the bill, the President’s Office had attached a 9-page long letter that stated that the Bill was sent back to the House of Representatives for adequate discussion, study and reconsideration.

The message contains a total of 15 points in two parts and has been signed by Secretary at President’s Office Yadav Prasad Koirala.

While the first part comprising 7 points is for the parliament to be informed and discuss, in the second part containing 8 points, the President draws attention of the House to the issues.
