Maoist Center registered at EC for November 20 elections



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center has registered the party with the Election Commission (EC) for the purpose of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on November 20.

Maoist leaders Leelamani Paudel, Mukti Pradhan, Central Office Secretary Dorprasad Upadhyay, and others registered the party at the EC on Monday.

Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai has agreed to contest the election with the Maoist Center’s election symbol.

With this, the Maoist Center and Nepal Samajwadi Party should decide to use the same election symbol in the November 20 elections.
