Tarun Dal demands President Bhandari’s resignation



KATHMANDU: Nepal Tarun Dal, a sister organization of the ruling Nepali Congress, has demanded the resignation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Tarun Dal demanded the President’s resignation after she sent the Citizenship Bill back to the House of Representatives for reconsideration.

President of Tarun Dal, Bidwan Gurung in a statement asked the government to impeach the President and remove her from office if she did not resign.

“The Nepal Tarun Dal Central Committee urges the sovereign parliament and the government of Nepal to impeach the President who plays with, and ignores issues related to the lives of the people and does not live up to the dignity of the position,” the statement said.
