40 Nepali artists to use VIP longue of airport



KATHMANDU: Forty artists of Nepal will be allowed to use the VIP longue of airports in the country.

At the initiative of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale, artists could use VIP longue of airports based on the identity cards of special category granted by the Film Development Board.

It is said that the artists of special category would be allowed to use the VIP longue while leaving for abroad and returning home.

The artists getting special category identity card are Haribansha Acharya, Rajesh Hamal, Nir Shah, Shiva Shrestha, Krishna Malla, Mithila Sharma, Rajendra Khadgi, Ashok Sharma and Sambhujeet Baskota, among others.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had sent a letter to the Home Ministry by accepting the letter sent by the Film Development Board.

The Board in 2073 had urged to file application for the identity card of special category.
