Tight race in Bharatpur Metropolitan City

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML candidate Bijay Subedi has taken a slight lead in the mayoral election of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. He is three votes ahead of CPN-Maoist Center candidate Renu Dahal.

According to the latest results, Subedi got 2,468 votes while Dahal got 2,465 votes.

Earlier, Dahal was leading by a few votes. Similarly, Nepali Congress rebel candidate Jagannath Poudel has collected 805 votes.

Dahal is the common candidate of the alliance while UML’s Subedi is supported by Rastriya Prajatantra Party in Bharatpur metropolis.
