RPP overtakes coalition candidate, maintains lead in Hetauda sub-metropolis

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has taken the lead in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City.

The RPP has overtaken Meenakumari Lama, a candidate from the ruling coalition who took the lead for about 24 hours.

RPP candidate Deepak Singh has managed to maintain the lead in the vote count of wards 2, 18 and 19 in Hetauda sub-metropolis.

The RPP’s is at the forefront as 8,836 votes have been counted till 7 pm Sunday.

RPP’s Singh is leading by 31 votes garnering 2,666 votes, coalition candidate Lama is behind with 2,635 votes and CPN-UML candidate Ananta Poudel is chasing at 2418 votes.

NC candidate Sabin Neupane has won in Hetauda-1. He defeated UML candidate Uttam Poudel by 131 votes.

Neupane got 1442 votes against Poudel’s 1311 votes. A total of 3,293 votes were cast in Hetauda ward 1.
